At St. Croix Valley Christmas Trees, we offer that romantic, old-fashioned tradition of cutting your own tree, so you can spend time together in the outdoors.
As educators, parents, grandparents and now great-grandparents, we treasure time spent with children and family, so we have created many fun activities for kids—and kids at heart. There’s a straw mountain to climb, tunnels to crawl through, hot cocoa, and our “fine dining specialties”, Gooey O’s and Donillas to keep your warm and happy.
Our deepest wish is to help you create special memories that will last a lifetime. And of course, to send you home with the perfect Christmas tree.
We put sweat and science into our trees
So, if you want a tree that will make your home smell like an evergreen forest, hold its needles, and your favorite ornaments – just ask. We’ll hand you a saw and point you in the right direction.
For us, Christmas really does happen all year long, because we plant in the spring, trim in summer, fix in the fall and build in the winter. We grow 11 species of trees and are always evaluating new varieties in order to provide you with the best Christmas tree.
We also have pre-cut trees if you’d rather stick close to the barn while shopping for one of our handmade Victorian wreaths to decorate. Many of the colorful flowers and twigs that decorate the wreaths are grown on our farm, as part of our prairie restoration efforts.
Three generations of Schottlers feel joy in providing the very best experience to generations of tree farm guests. Over the years more families tell us, “It wouldn’t be Christmas if we couldn’t look forward to getting our beautiful tree here.”
